Battery module cooling materials are selected as a system, not as a list of unrelated parts. The module frame, cell surface, dielectric barrier, and cold plate each set a different requirement for heat transfer and mechanical compliance.
For uneven gaps, a silicone gap pad can spread contact pressure and protect the cell surface. For a thin, fixed joint, thermal conductive tape may simplify assembly and reduce fastener count. Engineers comparing these routes should also review thermal interface materials as a complete family before locking the bill of materials.
Production checks
Validate liner removal, placement accuracy, compression force, and cleanliness at the line speed that will be used in production. Measure the finished stack rather than relying only on component-level data.
